This isn’t news, but it’s worth highlighting that the Umbraco Marketplace is a one-stop shop for a massive range of nifty packages, extensions and tools. As the Umbraco community has grown, so has the cottage industry of big and small app developers.  

Many of these provide functionality and customizability that older versions of Umbraco can’t support, or require a lot of bespoke code on legacy systems. There’s plenty of great free apps, and most of the premium ones are reasonably priced at small to medium scale.

The costs eliminated by deploying features in days compared to weeks can be huge, so it’s worth taking a browse through the marketplace and seeing what you could do on your own site.

Aside from packages, the Marketplace is also a directory of tech partners who can provide development services and support.
